Functional Cookies: We use one small, functional cookie (approximately 200 bytes) solely to allow our server to render your streak seamlessly upon page load and prevent visual flashes.

Data Control: Clearing your browser cache or site data will delete all local storage and cookies immediately. If you wish to save or transfer your progress, you can use the backup code generated in the "Me" tab.

2. Information Stored on Our Server

We only store minimal, anonymous data strictly necessary to deliver specific features:

Push Notifications (Optional): If you explicitly choose to enable push notifications, we store an anonymous push subscription object (an endpoint URL and encryption keys generated by your browser) along with your preferred delivery hour. This data cannot be traced back to your identity or device. Revoking notification permissions or unsubscribing permanently deletes this record from our server.

Aggregate Daily Counter: We maintain a simple, anonymous counter to measure daily activity (e.g., "N people caught up today"). This counter contains no identifiers, IP addresses, or metadata.

3. What We Do NOT Do

Privacy is our default design, not an afterthought. Specifically, we do not:

• Require or store user accounts, names, or passwords.
• Collect or ask for your email address.
• Use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or analytics scripts that track you across the web.
• Employ browser fingerprinting techniques.
• Sell, rent, trade, or monetize any user data.

Daily AI Catchup curates news and activity from across the AI industry. Clicking external links will direct you to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external sites, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
